Globidens phosphaticus tooth

The Globidens phosphaticus was a species of Mosasaur that specialised in hunting shelled prey items such as ammonites and other shelled molluscs. Over millions of years their teeth adapted perfectly to their lifestyle, taking a shape resembling a mushroom at the end of the cretaceous. Reaching lengths of up to 6,1 meters these were no small animals and surely the apex predator of their niche.
